Our performance and objectives
In the following Performance Report, Bayer renders a detailed account of its sustainability performance in 2009 in the fields of economics, employees, human rights, corporate social responsibility, ecology and product stewardship. The information provided in the report is based on clearly defined objectives and indicators. Dr. Wolfgang Grosse Entrup, Head of Environment & Sustainability at Bayer AG, summarizes the goals of the Performance Report as follows: “As a company that acts responsibly, we consider it our duty to adopt a self-critical approach when we give account of ourselves with regard to our sustainability performance, and of the challenges confronting us. In this process, we strive to maintain the greatest possible transparency and verifiability.”
